This makes it more accurate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<div class=\"sqs-html-content\" data-sqsp-text-block-content>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">How we calculate your Overall Save Rate<\/h3>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">We look at:<\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Your reported take-home pay for the month<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Your reported paycheck contributions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Your reported contributions to any Saving &amp; Investing accounts for the month<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\u2026and divide your contributions by your total post-tax income (inclusive of what <em>would\u2019ve<\/em> been take-home pay, had you not contributed it to your employer-sponsored accounts).<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">How we calculate your Long-Term Save Rate<\/h3>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">We look at:<\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Your reported take-home pay for the month<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Your reported paycheck contributions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Your reported contributions to Saving &amp; Investing accounts with the \u201cLong-Term (Financial Independence)\u201d tag for the month<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\u2026and divide your Long-Term contributions by your total post-tax income (inclusive of what <em>would\u2019ve<\/em> been take-home pay, had you not contributed it to your employer-sponsored accounts).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<div class=\"sqs-html-content\" data-sqsp-text-block-content>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"> \u201cMy save rates aren\u2019t calculating! This can create #REF errors. (Copy &amp; paste is fine.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Only change data in the <strong>white<\/strong> cells. Colored cells have formulas in them to make the Planner work!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"sqsrte-large\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Avoid <strong>adding<\/strong> or <strong>deleting<\/strong> rows &amp; columns.
