I am a Christian and a Texan, who has been diagnosed with lung cancer and has started a blogspot focusing on interior decorating, namely how to decorate on a budget because I too will never have a home like you. I am also fine with that because the Lord is just letting me stay alive to complete raising my grandaughter. I gave up my dream to ever see Europe in exchange for the grandaughter. But I think I had seen a kitchen you had done for a friend in Southern Living Magazine. Not sure, the pics look alike. I just got up from reading Psalm 99. In verse 3 it says "Let them praise Thy great and awesome name". You have just done that. It is God's great pleasure for you to give out of the treasury He has placed in you back to Him. But then I came here and read about your lovely soul. I too am always trying to find balance between my love for beautiful things and not being too attached. Though I dream, I'll never have the kind of breathtakingly gorgeous homes you design, and I'm okay with that. It isn't His will for me. My small, underdressed home is filled beautifully with two daughters and a husband that loves. But every once in a while I think I'd really enjoy a "designed" home! :) Bless you!
